God's Beauty & Grace Found in Wyoming

I am just going to come out and say it... Jackson Lake Lodge isn't the most holy and moral place. Recently I have found myself being reckless with my actions and putting more people down with my words when I should be lifting them up with my words. I have been not living the most Christian life  and I think my mood has showed it recently. I have been uncharacteristically sad and just plain moody. One day after work I hiked up to Lunch Tree Hill around sunset just to be alone and try to talk to God.

And there it was at sunset. I was just still. Alone. Quiet. and it was wonderful.
I remembered a quote from my homie John Muir that I heard when I was watching a PBS special on the National Parks. (I know call me a nerd)
"I'd rather be in the mountains thinking of God,
than in church thinking about the mountains."
At that moment I couldn't think of a more accurate statement. This is God's Creation. The mountains. The animals. The flowers. The setting sun. There is no better way to praise God than in his own creation!

I prayed to God to help me find my way to be a better Christian not only for myself, but for my co-workers, friends and everyone else I interact with on a daily basis. I prayed that I left those around me with a feeling of love, comfort and ease rather than any other negative activity that I've been spreading lately.
Today at church we talked and prayed through Psalm 86, which is a personal favorite of mine.

"But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
Turn to me and be gracious to me: give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.
Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me."
-Psalm 86:15-17
It seemed like a prayer had been answered a few of the other girls shared how hard it was to live a Christian life here. Strangely, I felt so happy that these women had felt the same way. It is so nice to know that others struggle in the same ways I do...
Christian Fellowship is so wonderful.
It can be found in time alone with Christ
or with a group of believers.
Both are just as refreshing.
I am praying honestly and earnestly that I will live in a way that Christ would
not just here in Wyoming, but also at home or anywhere else I shall live.
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer."
-Psalm 19:14
