"The Kingdom of Heaven" Matthew 13:44-46
"(44) The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."
5 takeaways from this verse:
1. Nothing equals the worth of Heaven
2. Many people find the Gospel and Heaven to be hidden to them
3. One's condition prior to finding the treasure influences how one reacts to the kingdom
4. We should be doing all we can do to acquire the Kingdom of Heaven
-repent
- follow
- believe
5. We must have an unending joy for the Kingdom
"(45) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, (46) who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it."
2 characteristics of the merchant we should strive after:
1. He actively searched and sought for the pearl
2. He sold his property without hesitation. He understands how worthy the pearl is.
