Portugal Calling -- February 2019!
Oh my gosh. I have been dying to see Portugal for a really long time. It seems just so lovely and magical. A country full of sunshine, wine, and gorgeous architecture... I've also been told that Portugal has great pastries.
However - flights to any city in Portugal is extremely expensive. I had been tracking flights like a hawk for a while and the flexibility to go to any of Portugal's larger cities - Lisbon, Faro or Porto. Yet finally today I was able to land the deal of the year. (Thank goodness for Black Friday deals!) Norwegian Air had a steal on flights to many destinations for winter. When I saw that I could book a weekend in February saving about $100, I JUMPED on it. I double checked that it didn't crash with my work schedule. Then just whipped out my card and booked. I have read and researched everyone saying that the flight is the most expensive part of a vacation to Portugal - the accommodation, food, and activities are reasonably priced.
Anywho - I'll be spending a weekend in Lisbon during February and I am already looking forward to sitting on a balcony with a huge glass of wine. Now I'm turning to you my lovely readers - have any of you been to Lisbon or Portugal in the winter? I am open to any suggestions!
