Swedish Friendsgiving: Jätte-thankful

For Americans, Thanksgiving is the starting line of the race towards Christmas. Honestly, we don't stop eating until January 2nd. Many of my European friends wanted to celebrated Thanksgiving the real American way. So we did.

Another American classmate offered to host. Together we compiled a list of traditional side dishes and asked everyone to bring one as well as their own alcohol. I, with a master chef friend, tackled the turkey.

look at that turkey!

It was so much fun! I don't think I've ever been to such a stress-free, drama-free holiday. We ate and drank until we couldn't eat or drink anymore. I loved getting to visit with friends that I don't get to see on a daily basis.

I think it's safe to say that we have created a tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving for years to come.
